He has traveled to more than a hundred countries, unfolding the national symbol on various continents. Now Davlatov has set himself an even more ambitious goal – to take the flag into space and show it to the whole world from the height of the stars.

From Europe to Mongolia, and beyond, into space

In honor of the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan's State Independence, Sharifbek Davlatov once again picked up the national flag to remind the world of his homeland.

His road ran through Cyprus, Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia, San Marino and the Vatican – small and large European countries. But this route ended in Mongolia, far from them.

While in this country, he shared his new plan with the "Asia-Plus" correspondent by phone: now his goal is to fly into space, where he intends to unfurl the national flag in open space.

"This step will be of great importance, – the traveler is sure. — Over the years of independence, our flag has been raised in different parts of the world. But to see it in space is a dream that will inspire a new generation."

How realistic is this?

Flying into space is an incredibly difficult task. It requires impeccable health and rigorous medical checks, serious physical and psychological training, as well as specialized training that can last for years.

Davlatov admitted that he is ready to pass these tests and feels great.

But space cannot be conquered by desire alone – agreements are needed with companies that organize such flights.

When asked if he was negotiating with any of them, the traveler chose not to answer, keeping this point a secret.

Antarctica as a prologue to the stars

Sharifbek Davlatov has already visited 112 countries, and the national flag of Tajikistan has been flattered in each them. For him, this is not just a tradition, but a symbol of pride and a way to tell foreigners about an independent homeland.

"Wherever I was, I always held the flag of Tajikistan in my hands, showed the unique landscapes of our country and photos of the Leader of the nation, representing the land of our ancestors," – says the traveler.

A special place in his career is occupied by an expedition to Antarctica, undertaken as part of the International Year of Glacier Conservation.

Davlatov installed not only the flag of Tajikistan there, but also the flags of neighboring countries — Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, emphasizing the idea of regional unity.

"To get to the coldest continent, I had to travel a long way through Latin America and spend four days in the ocean on a ship," – he recalls. This trip was symbolic for Davlatov: after seeing the effects of climate change with his own eyes, he decided to draw the attention of the world community to the problem of the rapid melting of glaciers.

He introduces Tajikistan to the world

Since his youth, Davlatov dreamed of seeing the whole world. Today, he has visited more than a hundred countries, got acquainted with dozens of cultures and traditions, and met many famous personalities.

In every corner of the world, he talks about his homeland, its history and culture, trying to attract tourists to Tajikistan.

"It's important for me to meet people, listen to their stories and feel the atmosphere of each country," – he admits.
