Starting Tuesday, September 16, Dushanbe welcomes the launch of direct flights between Xi'an, China, and the capital of Tajikistan, according to the office of Zhejiang Loong Airlines in Tajikistan. This new route has reportedly been established as part of a partnership between Oriental Sky Aviation and Zhejiang Loong Airlines.

The flights will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, with departure from Dushanbe International Airport scheduled for 15:00 local time.

Tickets for the new route can be purchased through the general sales agent in Tajikistan, Oriental Sky Aviation, located at the Bokhtar Business Center.  For more information, customers can contact the company at +992 88 883 2201 or email [email protected]. Additional details can also be found on their website at airport.tj.

Zhejiang Loong Airlines, commonly known as Loong Air, is a Chinese airline founded in 2011, originally as CDI Cargo Airlines.  It launched cargo services in 2012 and domestic passenger services in 2013, with its headquarters in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.  The airline offers both domestic and international passenger and cargo services, building its network across China and into countries in the Belt and Road region.  The airline operates more than 600 routes, connecting over 170 destinations in China and internationally, including Central Asia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia.

This development follows the recent launch of direct flights on the Beijing — Dushanbe — Beijing and Kashgar — Khujand — Kashgar air routes.  The Khujand-Kashgar flights will operate once a week, on Tuesdays, with a flight time of 2 hours and 40 minutes between the two cities.

This new air link strengthens connectivity between Tajikistan and China, making travel more convenient for passengers and boosting regional economic ties.
