The number of enterprises with participation of Tajik capital  continues to rise in Uzbekistan, reaching 357 by mid-2025, according to the National Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan. This marks a significant increase in economic ties between the two neighboring countries.

The data shows a steady growth in Tajik-invested enterprises over the past year: by January 1, 2024, there were 278 such companies operating in Uzbekistan; by March 1, 2025, the number had grown to 329; and by July 2025, it reached 357. Of these, 89 are joint ventures, while 268 are fully Tajik-owned.

Tajik investments in Uzbekistan are concentrated mainly in industries such as manufacturing, energy, logistics, and transportation, as well as agriculture, including the processing of agricultural products.

In turn, Uzbekistan is also investing in Tajikistan, with over 70 Uzbek-invested companies operating there. These include enterprises in the production of yarn and household appliances, further demonstrating the mutual benefits of bilateral investment ties.

The overall number of foreign-invested enterprises in Uzbekistan has also seen significant growth, with 17,595 such businesses registered by November 2025 — nearly double the number from five years ago.

In the ranking of countries by the number of active companies in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan holds the eighth position.

The top seven countries with the most foreign-invested companies in Uzbekistan are China (4,731), Russia (3,177), Turkiye (2,090), Kazakhstan (1,185), South Korea (683), Afghanistan (636), and the UAE (396).
