On November 20, a ceremony was held in the Sughd province to inaugurate three newly renovated sections of the Dehmoy – Konibodom road: 1) Dehmoy in Jabbor-Rasoulov district – Bobojon-Ghafourov town; 2) Bobjon-Ghafourov town – Khistevarz; and 3) Kuchkak – Konibodom. The event was attended by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

According to the Tajik president's official website, the renovated road sections, totaling 52 kilometers in length, were reconstructed as part of the "Improving Regional Transport Connectivity in Central Asia" program. The project, which covers the Sughd and Khatlon provinces, as well as the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), has a budget of $56 million.

During the construction of the Dehmoy – Konibodom road, 11 road bridges, 17 bus stops, reinforced concrete retaining walls, power and communication lines, pedestrian walkways, and protective barriers were built.

Plans also include the construction of a fourth section of the road, from Kurush to Bekobod, stretching 12.7 kilometers, at a cost of over $8 million. Additionally, a 9.7-kilometer stretch of the Khistevarz – Sohilob road is being upgraded, with an investment of $4.5 million.

On the same day, President Emomali Rahmon inaugurated a new flight maintenance complex at the Khujand International Airport (KIA).

The new building, covering an area of 936 square meters, was constructed to support aircraft maintenance operations. The previous building, constructed in the 1950s and 1960s, had become outdated and no longer met modern standards.

The new complex consists of three floors. The ground floor houses a garage for 20 vehicles, and the building includes 32 service rooms and three classrooms. Additionally, a separate technical garage building, measuring 864 square meters, has been constructed next to the complex.
