DUSHANBE, July 18, 2013, Asia-Plus — Over the first six months of this year, Tajikistan has imported 84,042 tons of liquefied gas, mainly from Kazakhstan, according to the Monitoring & Early Warning in Tajikistan report for July 2013.
This is reportedly 2,841 tons more for the whole of 2012.
In June, liquefied gas imports totaled 11,917.5 tons, which is 1,993.2 tons less compared to May of the current year.
According to the report, over 40% of country’s transportation uses liquefied gas due to high petrol prices.
Meanwhile the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan reports that 183,000 tons of oil products have been imported into Tajikistan over the first half-year of 2013, which is 20,000 tons more than in the same period last year.
