Kyrgyzstan ranks 60th in world economic freedoms’ rating

Kyrgyzstan ranked 60th in the world economic freedoms’ rating, Washington Profile reported referring to the Cato Institute research.

The research was conducted on five criteria: size of the government (number of members not involved into economic development of the country, government share in state economy, state investments rates); property rights protection; availability of monetary funds (inflation rates, control over foreign currency accounts); level of international trade freedom; level of business, labor and credit market regulation.

The highest level of economic freedom in the post-Soviet region was traced in Estonia (11th place), than goes Lithuania (31st place), than Georgia (39th place) and Kazakhstan (42nd place). Ukraine ranks the least among post-Soviet states taking the 121st place in a rating.
