A delegation of the European Education Foundation of the European Commission visits Ashgabat.

During the visit to the Turkmen capital the guests will hold a series of the meetings and talks at the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan focused on the perspectives of education co-operation. This sphere that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attaches paramount importance to is a priority of Turkmenistan-European Union co-operation.

In recent years the partners have accumulated the profound positive experience of joint work in this sphere. Thus, a number of the important projects implemented in the framework of the EU Programme – TACIS operating in Turkmenistan since 1991 are aimed at improving the national education system.

These meetings will help to expand constructive collaboration and identify the demand-driven forms of co-operation based on the modern realities, to fill it with the new quality and content. During the visit to the Turkmen capital the officials of the European Education Foundation are planning to conduct the seminar of vocational training, education and labour market at the House of Europe in Ashgabat.
