Dushanbe. 27 August. “Asia-Plus” – The First International Economic Forum “Investment Opportunities for the Development of Pamir” will be held on 30-31 August in Kharough (administrative center of Badakhshan Province).

Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, who is the organizer of the Forum, reported to Asia-Plus that the Forum will help the economic growth on the Pamirs in tourism and business sphere.

The Ministry reported: “The Forum will be held in an interactive way. Participants will be able to fully study investment programs, find possible business partners, establish cooperation, visit tourist locations, and take part in seminars and discussions. Such sectors as agriculture, fish industry, leather processing, processing of milk and meat, mining, tourism, mini-hydro-power stations, as well as mining and processing of precious and semi-precious stones.”

They specified that a part of the Forum will be held in Ishkashim Free Economic Zone. Memorandums of Understanding on Cooperation in various sectors will be signed at the end of the Forum.

Government officials, private sector leaders, representatives of international organizations and largest international corporations will participate in the International Forum in order to discuss strategies for effective development of the Pamirs in the world economy and present ways for business in Ishkashim Free Economic Zone.
