DUSHANBE, October 29, 2013, Asia-Plus — On Monday October 28, President Emomali Rahmon attended a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a new school in the village of Guliston, Kulob district, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

The school that will accommodate more than 1,300 pupils is expected to be finished in two years.  A total cost of the project is some 8 million somoni.

While in Kulob, Rahmon also got acquainted with the activity of the Sabz Farm.

The president also participated in ceremonies of opening of the presidential lyceum for talented children and a new hospital for Interior Ministry’s office in the city of Kulob.

Besides, Emomali Rahmon gave a kick-start to construction of a 5-star 16-storey hotel in the downtown Kulob.  The hotel is expected to be built in 2 years.  A total cost of this project is 8.2 million somoni and it will be funded by local entrepreneur Mahmadsodiq Kululov, the website said.

The head of state also attended ceremonies of opening of three small enterprises – flour mill, sewing factory and a dried-fruit-packing enterprise – in the city of Kulob.
