DUSHANBE, August 19, 2008, Asia-Plus — Two-five star hotels in Dushanbe are ready to accept guests – participants at a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, told Asia-Plus today.
“After reconstruction and modernization, the “Tajikistan” Hotel has received a five-star rating status,” said Saidov, “Besides, the Dushanbe Hyatt Regency Hotel, built by Russia’s Russkiye Oteli, also has the five-star hotel treatment construction.”
Ceremonies of official opening of the hotels will be held in the near future, the spokesman said.
As far as the Dushanbe Hyatt Regency Hotel is concerned, the company Russkiye Oteli (Russian Hotels) has invested in the construction and its affiliate – the limited liability company Sozidaniye – has acted as contractor. The general contractor for this project is ENKA Insaat Ve Sanayi A.Sh.
The work on the hotel began in summer 2005. The architectural concept has been worked out by the NBBJ company. The construction of the hotel officially commenced on March 1, 2006.
The hotel’s infrastructure includes 12-story building with 218 rooms, business center, conference chamber for 200 people, negotiation rooms, fitness-center, entertainment complex and three restaurants.
An operational management of the hotel will be conducted by the international corporation Hyatt – international operator, under brand of which 215 hotels function in 44 countries across the world.
