President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev declared yesterday after the meeting with President Kurmanbek Bakiyev at the Issyk-Kul Lake that, the Commonwealth of Independent States is amorphous formation. Many people complain that CIS leaders do not take measures inspite of the conflict in South Ossetia. However, the Commonwealth is deprived of any tools and mechanisms to settle the conflicts like that in South Ossetia. By efforts of some CIS states-members our Commonwealth has become amorphous.

“In future we will not allow such bloodshed, therefore our suggestion is that, probably Foreign Affairs Ministries of our states have to meet and assess the situation. Nagorny Karabakh, Trans-Dniester have been in turmoil since the break up of the USSR. We must take measures,” the President of Kazakhstan added.

“Each CIS state censures separatism. These complicated international conflicts must be settled amicably, through negotiations,” Nursultan Nazarbaev said.
