KHUAJND, August 12, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Family doctors from the Asht district have been recognized the best in the northern Sughd province.  

At the end of last week, an awards ceremony was held in a Roudaki Palace in Khujand for the winners of the competition “The Best Teams of Family Medicine.”  

Eight teams from Asht, Bobojonghafurov, Spitamen, Jabborrasulov, and Kuhistoni Mastchoh districts as well as the cities of Khujand, Chkalovs and Konibodom participated in the competition.  Each team consisted of one doctor and one nurse.   

            Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ms. Gavhar Poulodova, chairperson of the Sughd Association of Workers of Family Medicine, the team of the Asht district, consisting of Isomad Yelitushev and Musliyama Mahmoudova, was recognized the best.  It was followed by the teams form Chkalovsk and Jabborrasulov.   

The Asht will represent the Sughd province at the final part of the competition that will be held in Dushanbe.
