First issue of social newspaper Pamir Info comes out in Khorog

DUSHANBE, April 12, 2014, Asia-Plus – The first issue of the social newspaper

Pamir Info

has reportedly come out in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).

The newspaper is published by an initiative group consisting of residents of Gorno Badakhshan and its first issue came out on April 10.

Founders of the newspaper say that their main goal is to promote sustainable development of Gorno Badakhshan through making its residents aware of the most topical events of social, economic and cultural life of the region.

“We are sure that the newspaper will promote development of dialogue between the government, business and civil society on issues related to development of our region,” they noted.

The first issue contained the following articles: Navrouz – the New Day of Hope; What Is Civil Society; Lake Sarez Open to Foreign Tourists; etc.
