One of the agreements was signed between the government of German and Tajikistan’s State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management.  Under this technical cooperation agreement, Germany provides a grant of 5.5 million euros for implementation of projects aimed at supporting development of small and medium sized enterprises and microfinncing in rural areas as well as the program for supporting reforms in vocational and primary education.

The second agreement – on financial cooperation – provides for allocation by the German Government of 21 million euros for implementation of health projects, including improvement of mother and child health care in 6-10 districts of the Khatlon province.

Besides, a MoEDT and the German Development Bank KfW (Entwicklungsbank) signed an agreement of 2 million euros for financing the TB control project, which includes rehabilitation of the republican  TB hospital, Machiton, in the Vahdat district.

We will recall that a tripartite loan and financing agreement of 25 million euros for the project “Rehabilitation/Reconstruction of 220‑kV-Switchyards Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station (HPS)” was signed by the KfW and Tajikistan’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) power holding in on July 25.
