DUSHANBE, July 24, 2008, Asia-Plus — A summer school on international public law and human rights started in the Varzob today.
Ms. Firouza Ghulomaseinova, senior press and public information assistant, the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, said that the summer school, staged by the Bureau on Human Rights and Rule of Law under support of the OSCE Office, had brought together 20 students of economic faculties at universities in Dushanbe, Khorog, Khujand and Kulob to study basics of theory and practice of human rights and mechanism of protection of them.
According to her, it is the eighth summer school held under support of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan. “This year, the school will be held in cooperation with other international agencies, including the UNHCS, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC),” senior press and public information assistant.
