DUSHANBE, July 2, 2008, Asia-Plus — A large group of Tajik entrepreneurs attended the 4th Central and South Asia Commodity Fair that was held in Kashgar, China’s Xinjuang-Uighur Autonomous Region (XUAR) from June 28 to July 2, according to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
Participants at the fair got opportunities to negotiate commodity trade and projects for economic and technical cooperation between Tajikistan and China. Tajik CCI took part at the fair with a view of further enhancing the trade tides.
The fair saw exhibition of commodities including organic oil and food products, electronic equipments, machinery, household appliances, raw materials for various products, textile products, handicrafts and minerals. It also opened up vistas for business networking, exchange of product ideas, trade ideas and business projects.
Seminars, conferences and workshops were also conducted during the trade fair to orient the traders and business community with trade opportunities existing in the region.
