DUSHANBE, June 11, Asia-Plus –  According to specialists, more than 10,000 rare manuscripts are currently kept in houses of residents of Gorno Badakhshan.

Speaking in an interview with Pamir Media, Laljuba Mirzohasan, a lecturer at Khorog State University, said that many of them have historical value. 

“Since residential buildings do have appropriate conditions for keeping manuscripts, the government bodies and NGOs should assist with handing them over to relevant archives,” Mirzohasan said.
