DUSHANBE, June 11, Asia-Plus — As of June 1, 2008, enterprises’ customs debts have amounted to 11,860,907 somonis, Abdurasoul Sharipov, a spokesman for the Tajik Customs Service, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, Tajik state natural-gas distributor, Tojikgaz, accounts for 96 percent of customs debts (11,407,795 somonis).
The debt of the Fund for Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan to the national budget has amounted to 186,779.1 somonis and the debt of the Panjakent company Spitamen Safar amounts to 35,301.2 somonis. The agricultural company Tabak now owes 221,590 somonis to the budget and the company Tugarak currently owes 9,741 somonis, the spokesman said.
