DUSHANBE, March 11, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov yesterday met here with Hekmat Khalil Karzai, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, they discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan in various fields and joint implementation of regional energy and infrastructure development projects.

The two were reportedly satisfied with the high level of bilateral cooperation between their countries and expressed readiness for further expansion of political contacts and security cooperation.

Sirojiddin Aslov and Hekmat Khalil Karzai also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest, cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan within the framework of regional and international  organizations and prospects of Afghanistan’s economic reconstruction, the source said.
