DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus  — A plan of actions of the Dushanbe mayor’s office and law enforcement agency on legal education, ensuring of rights and freedoms of citizens, delinquency and crime prevention for 2008 has been endorsed by Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev and submitted for consideration to the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis).  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the capital mayor, said that deputy mayors and heads of the city’s districts jointly with relevant municipal structures are to take measures to ensure realization of the mentioned plan.  

The plan provides for holding meetings with representatives of organizations, enterprises, entrepreneurs and the public on the most topical problems, including implementation of laws on land use, public, health, education, national language, entrepreneurship and orders to observe traditions.

The plan also provides for studying issue of providing of the population with commercial, communal and passenger transport services, the spokesman said.
