DUSHANBE, April 19, Asia-Plus – Head of Tajikistan”s Customs Office Gurez Zaripov said Iran is one of the most important trade partners of his country and trade exchange between the two countries is increasing every year.
Speaking to reporters in Dushanbe on April 17, Zaripov said, «Iran is among five countries which have the highest level of trade exchange with Tajikistan.”
Zaripov continued trade exchange between Iran and Tajikistan increased 25 percent in the year of 2007 compared with 2006 and reached to 270 million dollars and it is increasing in the current year, too.
Tajikistan imports food products, textile, construction materials, home appliances, electrical devices and fuel from Iran and exports cotton thread and aluminum.
The country has trade relations with 78 countries around the world among which the five first ones are China, Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
