DUSHANBE, April 14, Asia-Plus — A progress of implementation of resolutions passed at the Dushanbe summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (SCTO) was focus of a meeting of visiting CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha with Deputy Foreign Minister Ramil Nadyrov that was held in Dushanbe on April 14, according to the Ministry of Defense (MoD).
The source at a MoD said that the two had also considered issues related to participation of Tajik servicemen in the CSTO events, including the upcoming drill, dubbed Rubezh-2008 (Border) in Armenia.
During the meeting, Bordyuzha highly appraised preparation and active participation of Tajik servicemen in the CSTO events, the source said.
According to Russian media, some 4 thousand military personnel from Armenia, Russia and Tajikistan will participate in Rubezh 2008 CSTO maneuvers due in summer-autumn 2008 in four stages in Armenia and Russia.
