DUSHANBE, May 19, 2016, Asia-Plus – Resident of Varzob district has been detained by police on suspicion of killing his little son.

The Interior Ministry’s website reports that a 36-year-old resident of the Varzob Qala jamoat being in a state of drunkenness severely beat his two-year-old son on May 17.  The baby died on the way to the central district hospital.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted over the incident and an investigation is under way.
