DUSHANBE, June 30, 2016, Asia-Plus – Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Bank Eskhata has introduced an electronic payment system and its customers now may transfer money to their cards in online regime, according to the Bank Eskhata press center.

Online banking, also known as internet banking, e-banking or virtual banking, is an electronic payment system that enables customers of a bank or other financial institution to conduct a range of financial transactions through the financial institution”s website.  The online banking system will typically connect to or be part of the core banking system operated by a bank and is in contrast to branch banking which was the traditional way customers accessed banking services. 

Founded in 1993, OJSC Bank Eskhata, with headquarters in Khujand, is a commercial bank, providing a full range of main banking operations. Bank Eskhata”s network has 23 branch offices, 260 banking centers and 428 money transfer locations, in most parts of the country.


Bank Eskhata is Tajikistan’s fifth largest bank by assets, part-owned by the European bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and with a particular focus on SME financing and support.
