invites journalists of local and foreign Mass Media to its office, to publicity an UN official appeal to the world community on behalf of Government of Republic of Tajikistan. As was informed in UNDP, mainly statement will include situation report related with the most severe winter for the last 25 year in the Republic, which is threatened humanitarian disaster.




The main aim of the appeal is to give an opportunity to the humanitarian agencies to provide population of republic with provisions, water, fuel (mazut) for heating, living essentials and also to provide basic healthcare services in that critical for

period.



The appeal also includes request on providing conditions for quick response to the possible life-threatening situation in spring, when there is a high risk of flood and landslide.
