The 13th session of the joint Tajik-Kazakh commission for trade and economic cooperation took place in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, on February 15-16.
According to the press center of the State Committee on Investment and State-owned Property Management of Tajikistan (GosKomInvest), co-chaired by GosKomInvest head Fayziddin Qahhorzoda and Kazakh Deputy Energy Minister Aset Magauov, the session discussed a broad range of issues related to trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The session participants, in particular, discussed bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in the fields of investment, transportation, industry, education and science, agriculture, migration, energy, health care, culture and tourism.
The session reportedly ended with signing of a protocol of the Tajik-Kazakh commission for trade and economic cooperation.
On the sidelines of the session, Qahhorzoda met with Kazakh Minister for Investment and Development Zhenis Kasymbek.
The two reportedly discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation between their countries in attracting investments, launching joint ventures as well as implementing joint investment and economic development projects.
