Before the Eximbank of India, the dilemma: to whom to give money to – Spitamen Bank or Orienbank?

The Export-Import Bank of India was interested in establishing cooperation with Tajik commercial banks. In the field of view of the Indian bank are "Spitamen Bank" and "Orienbank".

The head of the Eximbank of India, Ravindranath Menon, at a meeting with the leadership of the National Bank of Tajikistan in Dushanbe noted that currently the possibilities of establishing cooperation with CJSC Spitamen Bank and OJSC Orienbank,  the press service of the NBT reports.

He stressed that in the future Eximbank of India can finance one of the considered banks for lending to Tajik manufacturing enterprises and Indian companies operating in Tajikistan.

Eximbank of India was created with the assistance of the government of this country in 1982, primarily to support foreign trade operations, as well as Indian small and medium-sized businesses.

The “Spitamen Bank”, which was formed in 2013, predicts rapid growth. The shares of this bank are fully owned by the company “Spitamen Insurance”, which is associated with people close to the top leadership of the country. The bank is headed by the well-known bank manager in Tajikistan Niyozmurod Saidmurodov, who once headed the now problematic "Agroinvestbank".

The head of "Orienbank" is Hasan Asadullozoda, who is the brother-in-law of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
