Over the first eleven months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan, including electrical power, has amounted to 3.5754 billion U.S. dollars, which was 100.06 percent of the January-November 2017 level or 19.7million U.S. dollars more, according the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
The trade balance in January-November this year has been negative and amounted to 1.3833 billion U.S. dollars.
Exports of goods over the report period have reportedly amounted to 1.096 billion U.S. dollars, which was 35.4 percent or 286.6 million USD more than in the same period last year.
Over the same eleven-month period, imports of goods into the country have amounted to 2.4794 billion U.S. dollars, which was 9.7 percent or 266.9 million U.S. dollars less than in January-November 2016.
Compared to November 2016 Tajikistan’s foreign trade turnover last month reportedly increased by 8.7 percent or 27.7 million U.S. dollars.
Over the first eleven months of this year, Tajikistan has had trade relations with 108 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.
Over the report period, major Tajikistan exports partners were: Kazakhstan – 26.4 percent of the overall volume of Tajikistan’s exports; Turkey – 18.3 percent; Luxemburg – 11.3 percent; Afghanistan – 8.7; Switzerland – 8.2 percent; Uzbekistan – 4.7 percent; Taiwan – 4.4 percent; China – 2.9 percent; Russia – 2.5 percent; Iran – 2.41 percent; etc.
Over the same eleven-month period, major Tajikistan imports partners were: Russia – 32.9 percent of the overall volume of Tajikistan’s imports; China – 20 percent; Kazakhstan – 18.8 percent; Turkey – 3.8 percent; Germany – 3.7 percent; Uzbekistan – 2.5 percent; Iran – 2.3 percent; etc.
The bilateral trade between Tajikistan and Russia over the report period has valued at 843.641 million U.S. dollars (11.1-percent decrease compared to January-November 2016) and the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and China in January-November this year has valued at 526.5836 million U.S. dollars (36-percent decrease compared to the same period last year).
Meanwhile, a two-way trade between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan over the first eleven months of this year has amounted to 754.8083 million U.S. dollars, which is 28.9 percent more than in the same period last year.
