DUSHANBE, November 13, Asia-Plus  — A neurology unit has been opened at Dushanbe children’s hospital # 2, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said.

An official opening of the unit was held on November 13. 

Sherali Rahmatulloyev, the deputy head of the Dushanbe health directorate, said in an interview with Asia-plus that the neurology unit with a total of 20 beds had been established under the Dushanbe health directorate’s health sector reform program designed for 2003-2013.

According to him, 110,000 somonis have been spent for renovation of a building allotted to the neurology unit,  Further 30,000 somonis have been used to provide the unit with up-to-date medical equipment.   

Before that, only Republican Clinical Hospital # 3 had 25-bed neurology unit for children, Rahmatulloyev said.
