Deputy Prime Minister, Azim Ibrohim, has criticized officials of the Sughd province for failing to create enough food supplies and warm clothing for military units deployed in the area, a source in the Tajik government told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, vice-premier’s criticism, direct at local officials in the region, came during an address to a meeting of the republican commission on preparation of Sughd’s economy for working during autumn-winter 2018-2019 that took place in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province, on November 14.
Azim Ibrohim also sharply criticized regional administrators for failing to prepare enough fodder for cattle for autumn-winter season.
The vice-premier reportedly demanded at the meeting that the situation should be put right in the shortest time and set precise tasks to remove existing shortcomings.
