The Russian ruble has slightly depreciated against the Tajik national currency, the somoni.

According to the National Bank of Tajikistan, the Russian ruble depreciated against the somoni seven points over two weeks – from 1:9.1419 on December 13 to 1:0.1358 on December 28.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate of the dollar against the somoni practically remains the same – 1:9.4292.  

At the same time, there was no any sharp drop in the exchange rate of the Russian ruble against the dollar.  

On Friday December 28, Russia’s Central Bank set the exchange rate of the Russian ruble against the dollar at 68.8762:1. 

Moreover, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov noted recently that he sees no reason to expect instability of the Russian national currency in 2019.
