DUSHANBE, September 1, Asia-Plus — The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced re-registration of public associations in the country.
The source at a MoJ said that public associations should be re-registered with the ministry before January 1, 2008.
According to him, only 20 public associations functioning in Dushanbe and districts subordinate to the center (RRPs) have been re-registered with the ministry.
On the new organizations, the source said that since May 2007, 127 new public associations have been registered in Tajikistan.
According to the MoJ, 1,924 republican and more than 3,500 local public associations now function in the country.
