During the operational-search activities, the police on suspicion of causing property damage through fraud or breach of trust detained a 55-year-old man living on the capital's street Tunisia.

"Since April 2019, while working at "Jong Fu" LLC in Vahdat, he provided false information on the payment of used electricity in the amount of 9 million 489 thousand 832 kWh, as a result of which such actions entailed material damage to the state in the amount of 6 million 158 thousand 017 somoni", – the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.

A criminal case has been instituted on this fact under article 253 (causing property damage through fraud or breach of trust).

He faces imprisonment from three to five years.
