6,400 Tajiks reportedly were on forced vacations in January-September this year

Over the first nine months of this year, some 6,400 people in Tajikistan have been on forced vacations, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.  

3,400 of them have reportedly been on forced vacations without pay.  

Over the same nine-month period, 300 people have reportedly worked part-time. 

In January-September this year, unemployment has reportedly amounted to 2.4 percent (57,000 people) of the total labor force of 2.381 million (latent unemployment taken into consideration).  

Meanwhile, some 40,000 new jobs have reportedly been created in the country over the report period, including more than 25,000 permanent jobs, more than 8,000 temporary jobs and more than 6,000 seasonal jobs.
