Turkmen media report say 2,019 cyclists lined up in Ashgabat Olympic Village on Saturday June 1 breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest single-file group bike ride.
The feat was dedicated to World Bicycle Day, which is marked on June 3. Riders from all over the country gathered in Ashgabat to participate.
In total, the ride spanned 3,300 meters in a single, unbroken line, running around the Ashgabat Olympic Village.
The previous record was achieved by Central Industrial Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs and Government of India (all India) in New Delhi, India on 3 March 2019. 1,327 cyclists reportedly lined up in India on March 3, 2019.
