The Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan reported on June 8 that 575 new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported in Afghanistan yesterday.  Kabul was reportedly on the top of the list with 193 new cases, followed by Herat with 151.

Besides, 12 people were reported to have died from COVID-19, and 329 others have recovered in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

Afghan media reports say 20,917 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country as of June 8, 2020. 

Kabul is on the top of the list with 8, 233 cases, followed by Herat (3,866 cases) and Balkh (1, 382 cases).    

369 COVID-19-linked deaths have been reported in the country as of June 8, according to TOLONews.  

So far, 48,305 samples have reportedly been tested.
