There have been 84 officially confirmed deaths from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in Tajikistan since the virus was confirmed to have spread to the country, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP).
A MoHSPP said one more officially confirmed coronavirus-linked death was reported in the country yesterday.
41 new officially confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported in Tajikistan yesterday, bringing a total number of the officially confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country to 11,417 as of the evening of November 10.
52 COVID-19 patients were reportedly discharged after recovery yesterday. In all, 10,763 coronavirus patients have reportedly recovered in the country as of the evening of November 10.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Tajikistan is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus was confirmed to have spread to Tajikistan when its index cases, in Dushanbe and Khujand, were confirmed on April 30, 2020.

Meanwhile, the COVID Tracking Project (CTP) says more people are being hospitalized in the United States with Covid-19 than at any time during the pandemic. Some 61,964 people are currently receiving hospital care due to Covid-19 as of Tuesday, according to CTP. The nation has never before topped 60,000 hospitalizations. The US currently averages roughly 1,661 new hospitalizations per day, CTP data shows.
Estonia has recommended canceling "all joint events," including Christmas parties, as part of coronavirus measures that take effect from Thursday, according to a government statement. New Estonian measures also include mandatory face coverings in public places and a recommendation for all employees to work remotely, if possible.
The Health Board of Estonia reported 128 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours on Monday, bringing its total to 6,376 cases. The country has recorded 76 deaths since the pandemic began.
