Calculation index rate to rise 3.4 percent next year

Date:

In 2021, calculation index rate will rise 3.4 percent, reaching 60.00 somonis.

A new calculation index is set by the law on the national budget for 2021, which was adopted by Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament (Majlisi Oli) on November 18.

The calculation index is set taking into account the inflation rate projected for the corresponding year.

The calculation index is an index used in Tajikistan for calculating pensions, allowances and other social payments and also for incrementing fines and calculating taxes and other payments.  It is set by the country’s law on the budget.

As practice of the past six years shows, the calculation index rate changes in Tajikistan once every two years.

Thus, the calculation index amounted to 40.00 somonis in 2-15-2016, 50.00 somonis in 2017-2018, and 58.00 somonis in 2019-2020.
