The ministry of industry launches one stop shop for permits and licensing

The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT) has launched the on stop shop for permits and licensing.

A source at a MoINT says the electronic platform allows remotely issuing permits for working in the industrial sector.   

According to him, the one stop shop for permits and licensing has been launched to promote the timely execution of relevant government’s instruction aiming at supporting entrepreneurship in the country. 

The electronic program reportedly contains names of business activities in the field of industry and a list of documents required to obtain a permit.  

The program has created conditions for payment of state duty for obtaining a permit through the banking system, the source said.

According to the statistical data from the MoINT, 106 new industrial enterprises and 87 workshops have been launched in the country this year.  

2,251 enterprises now operate in Tajikistan; 266 of them operated in the mining industry, 1,828 operated in the processing industry, 76 are engaged in providing electric power, natural gas and steam, and 81 operate in water supply and waste management sector.  

Over the first ten months of this year, Tajikistan has reportedly produced a total of more than 24.3 billion somonis of industrial goods. 

Compared to the same period last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 110.7 percent. 

Current share of industry in the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) reportedly amounts to 17.9 percent.
