One more Russian air carrier has got permission from the Tajik authorities to operate charter flights from Tajikistan.

S7 has got permission from the Tajik authorities to operate charter flights from Dushanbe to Novosibirsk and from Khujand to Moscow and Novosibirsk, a source within the Tajik Embassy in Moscow told Asia-Plus in an interview.     

The company will operate once-weekly services on these routes to repatriate Russian nationals who stranded in Tajikistan due to the coronavirus crisis. 

Persons who do not have Russian citizenship are required to hold a certificate of a negative COVID-19 test according to PCR method, made no earlier than 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival in Russia.   

Air traffic between Tajikistan and Russia has been suspended since March 20, 2020. 

Tajik authorities have suspended all international flights.  Tajikistan closed all its airports at midnight on March 19-20 due to the coronavirus concerns.  Only charters flights to repatriate Tajik nationals stranded in foreign countries due to the coronavirus crisis have been operated so far.

To-date, Tajikistan has resumed regular flights to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Istanbul (Turkey).
