The Board of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has issued a resolution endorsing the list of backbone lending institutions for this year.

The NBT press center says the list has been compiled based on the results of activities of lending agencies last year.  

As in the previous year, Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank), Open Joint-stock Company (OJSC) Orienbonk and OJSC Bank Eskhata have been recognized as the backbone lending institutions of Tajikistan. 

The microcredit deposit-taking organization IMON International is mentioned in a separate paragraph “Probable Lending Institutions” in the annex to the resolution.  

The “Probable Lending Institutions" are organizations that can be recognized as the backbone lending institutions at the next assessment.  

According to data from the National Bank of Tajikistan, 75 lending agencies now operate in Tajikistan, including 19 banks, 18 deposit-taking organization
