Over the first two months of this year, a fixed investment in Tajikistan has amounted to about 1.6 billion somonis, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the reporting period, the government has reportedly accounted for 47.5 percent in the country’s fixed investment, domestic private sector – 33.8 percent, foreign investment – 17.7 percent; and joint financing – 1.0 percent.
More than 54% of investments have been directed to construction of industrial production facilities, with 35 percent directed to construction of power facilities.

Over the first two months of this year, companies constructing energy facilities have reportedly utilized 537 million somonis, which is 24 percent fewer than in the same period last year.
Over the reporting period, an overall space of 108.9 square meters in residential buildings has been made available, which is 76.3 percent of the January-February 2020 level.
Besides, two secondary schools have been commissioned this year in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) and Khatlon province and eight health centers have been commissioned in Khatlon and Sughd provinces over the first two months of this year.
