Thirty countries of the world have provided about 12.8 million U.S. dollars’ worth of more than 4,100 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first three months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the reporting period, among donors countries the greatest share reportedly came from China – 34 percent; Russia – 19.4 percent; India – 10.6 percent; South Korea – 5.9 percent; Switzerland – 3.5 percent; Germany and the Netherlands – 3.0 percent each; Italy – 1.9 percent; the United Kingdom – 1.5 percent; the United States and Sweden – 1.0 percent each; France and Taiwan – 0.7 percent each; and others. 

Over the past decade, China has been one of major trading partners of Tajikistan.  China is Tajikistan's largest source of investment and the third largest trading partner of Tajikistan following Russia and Kazakhstan.  Over the past decade, China's direct investment in Tajikistan has totaled about 1 billion U.S. dollars.
