DUSHANBE, April 1, 2009, Asia-Plus — A two-day session of the CIS interstate council for periodical press, book printing and printing industry cooperation has opened in Dushanbe today morning.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Anvar Yusupov, a spokesman for the Ministry of Culture (MoC), said that consideration of the draft declaration to support book printing within the CIS area was a major topic of the session.
The session is also considering issues related to preparation and organization of the 7th international contest, The Art of Book.
The meeting participants are also expected to discuss a draft agreement on creation of favorable conditions for mutual exchange of printed output and foundation of press organ for CIS, the spokesman said.
