The year 2022 marks 30 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of India and the Republic of Tajikistan.

To celebrate this important milestone, the Embassy of India in Dushanbe is organizing an Indian Film Festival from 3-6 May, 2022 in collaboration with Tajikfilm State Institution and Satyajit Ray Film Society.

Indian films are very popular amongst Tajik citizens, given the wholesome entertainment they provide.

Four Indian films, covering a varied genre and dubbed in Tajik language, have been chosen for screening at this Film Festival.

The Indian Film Festival will be held at Vatan Cinema in Dushanbe and entry is free of charge on first come, first served basis as per the schedule.

An opening ceremony will be held on May 3; starting time: 4:00 pm.

May 3 — Ki & Ka (Her & Him) is a 2016 Indian romantic comedy film written, directed and produced by R. Balki; starting time: 4:30 pm . 

May 4 – Pink is a 2016 Indian legal thriller film directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and written by Shoojit Sircar, Ritesh Shah and Aniruddha Roy; starting time: 4:00 pm.

May 5 – Manjhi – The Mountain Man Manjhi is a 2015 Indian biographical film based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi, widely known as the "Mountain Man"; starting time: 4:00 pm.

May 6 – Badrinath Ki Dulhania (Badrinath's bride) is a 2017 Indian romantic comedy film written and directed by Shashank Khaitan; starting time: 1:00 pm.
