The first month of summer is going to be hot in Tajikistan and daytime temperatures will reach +45ºC in some areas, Sattor Saidov, the head of the Department of Meteorological Forecasts of Hydrometeorology Agency of Tajikistan (Hydromet), told Asia-Plus in an interview. 

“In June, very hot weather is predicted in almost all regions of the country,” Saidov said, noting that in some regions the average monthly air temperature is expected to be 1⁰C or 2⁰C above the climatic norm. 

The hottest weather will be in Khatlon province and plain areas of districts subordinate to the center.   

In Khatlon province, the average daytime temperatures in June will be +38⁰C, while in the southern part of the province the average daytime temperatures next month are expected to reach +45⁰C.  

In Dushanbe, the average daytime temperatures in June are expected to be +35⁰C.

In districts subordinate to the center (RRP, the average daytime temperatures in June will fluctuate from +27⁰C to +31⁰C in mountain areas and from +34⁰C to +38⁰C in the plain areas. 

In Sughd province, the average daytime temperatures in June will be +37⁰C

In the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), the average daytime temperatures in June will fluctuate from +29⁰C to +35⁰C in the western part of the region and from 16⁰C to 20⁰C in the eastern part of the region.
