Construction of a new sports complex “Sughd Arena” has begun in Khujand, the capital of the northern province of Sughd.

The Sughd governor’s press center says the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new complex took place on September 23 and Sughd governor Rajabboy Ahmadzoda officially laid the foundation stone for the “Sughd Arena” sports complex.  

The complex will have various gyms for various sports and auxiliary facilities.  

No timeframe for completion of construction has been announced.
