Afghan media reports say that speaking at the Defense Ministry’s Special Forces graduation ceremony, the Taliban’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai on December 3 urged the Islamic Emirate’s forces to be ready for the battlefield.

TOLOnews reports that Stanikzai criticized the meetings on Afghanistan in neighboring countries, saying that the “Illegal meetings held outside the country are launched with the aim of weakening the country and the system.”

“We were doing guerrilla wars but now we have to be prepared for the wars in the battlefield.  We have to prepare ourselves for battlefield wars against the enemy,” he said.

He also emphasized the role of the Islamic Emirate’s forces, saying that the world Muslims have expectations of the Islamic Emirate’s forces.

Stanikzai also called on the Afghan political leaders to return to the country.

Meanwhile, political analysts reportedly urged the Islamic Emirate and its opposition to solve the issues through negotiations.

“The Islamic Emirate should bring professional reforms in its administration.

It should respect the rights of women, minorities and human rights of Afghans and it should accept the international norms, so the opposition doesn’t find any reason against it,” said Wahid Faqiri, a political analyst.

“The path to solutions is engagement and acceptance of each other.  The patients are important for the destiny of the country,” said Sayed Hasham Balkhabi, political analyst.
