Five killed, one injured in Ayni traffic accident

Five people were killed and one another injured on March 28  as a car went off the road in Ayni district, Sughd province, according to the emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan.

Umeda Yusufi, a spokeswoman for the Emergencies Committee, says they got a message of the accident at 12:40 on the 148th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak highway. 

The accident took place on the 148th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak highway.  Ravon that was driven by the 33-year-old resident of Dushanbe was heading to Dushanbe when it went off the road.  

In this section the road reportedly runs serpentine.

As a result of the accident, the driver and his four passengers died on the spot.  Only the 6-year-old girl managed to survive, but she sustained various injuries and was taken to a hospital.
