KHUJAND, March 17, 2009, Asia-Plus – Power rationing for multi-story apartment in all cities and districts of the Sughd province was suspended Monday afternoon, according to the Sughd energy and industries department.
In the meantime, an official from the branch of Barqi Tojik power holding for Sughd says the supply of daily electricity to the province remains the same – some 3.75 million kWh. “However, the power supply volumes are being increased beginning from today,” the source said.
As it had been reported earlier, electricity rationing in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province was suspended on March 12.
Sughd’s actual daily requirements in electrical power are currently 14 million kWh. There are 223 industrial enterprises in the province; the operating enterprises now use 1.5 million KWh of electricity per day.
